One reset after a simple overload can be reasonable. If it trips again, repeatedly, immediately, or feels hot, stop resetting it and have a licensed electrician diagnose the circuit.
A GFCI protects against leakage to ground and usually has TEST/RESET buttons. A breaker protects a circuit from overcurrent. Either can indicate a problem when it repeatedly trips.
Buzzing, crackling, burning smells, discoloration or heat around electrical equipment should be treated as a priority. Do not open the panel cover yourself.
Some plug-in equipment is straightforward, but a dedicated Level 2 circuit can require load calculations, breaker/panel capacity review and permitting. Have the installation evaluated before adding a large continuous load.
